Terms

Effective 14 September 2026. Written in plain English on purpose.

The short version

01Who we are

Marklode is a service of Deimos AI LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the marklode.com website, Marklode research reports, and Marklode’s data products: the Marklode Verify API at api.marklode.com and the MCP registry scraper on Apify. You can reach us at hello@marklode.com.

02Orders, payment and refunds

We sell reports through Fiverr and Upwork, and we don’t take payment directly. When you order on one of those platforms, its terms govern the order, including payment, delivery, revisions, cancellations, refunds and disputes. If anything on this page conflicts with the platform’s terms for an order placed there, the platform’s terms apply.

03What a report is, and what it isn’t

A report is research: a map of competitors, funding and prior art drawn from public sources, the strongest objections we can find, and our verdict on what survives.

It is not legal advice, and it is not a patentability, validity, infringement or freedom-to-operate opinion. It is not investment, financial or tax advice either. Nothing in a report creates an attorney-client or advisory relationship.

Before you file a patent application, rely on a patent, or make an investment or funding decision, talk to a registered patent attorney or agent, a lawyer, or a licensed advisor. If a report points to a patent that may matter, take that patent to them.

04The limits of public research

We cite a source for every finding and mark anything we couldn’t verify. Still, public sources can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and some things can’t be found at all: most patent applications stay unpublished for 18 months after filing, and companies don’t announce everything they build. A report reflects what we found when we delivered it. We don’t promise that it is complete.

05How the research is done

Research runs on AI tools, currently Anthropic’s Claude, and a person checks every finding before it reaches you. What happens to what you send us is described in How we handle your idea and in our Privacy Policy.

06Your idea and your report

Your idea and your brief stay yours. You let us use them only to produce your report. If you ask, we sign your NDA before you send the brief, or you can use our mutual NDA.

Once your order is paid, the report is yours to use as you like, including sharing it with investors, partners and advisors. We keep using our general methods and know-how, but we don’t publish or reuse your brief or your report. A report becomes a public sample only with your written permission.

07API and data products

The Marklode Verify API and the registry dataset are built from public MCP registry metadata. No MCP server is ever contacted, probed or pinged. Results, including the 0–100 score, describe registry metadata only. They are not a security audit, a code review or an endorsement of any server, and they shouldn’t be your only security control.

API keys, billing and plan limits are handled by RapidAPI, and the scraper by Apify, under their terms. Don’t try to disrupt the service, get around rate or plan limits, or misrepresent where the data came from.

08This website

You’re welcome to link to marklode.com and to quote short parts of it with attribution. Links to other sites are there for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them.

09No warranties

To the extent the law allows, reports, data, the API and this website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Deimos AI LLC isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about a report is limited to the amount you paid for that order. For free use of the API, the data or this website, it is limited to US$100. Nothing here limits rights that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. For orders placed on Fiverr or Upwork, use the platform’s dispute process first.

12Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the effective date at the top changes. Changes don’t affect an order that is already in progress.
